Belinda Hulin is a Louisiana-born author who has been writing about food for more than twenty years. Hulin was Food Editor at the
Florida Times-Union for five years, and she now works as a freelance writer for such major publications as
Cosmopolitan, Time, and
BusinessWeek. Hulin is also a member of the Association of Food Journalists. Hulin first learned the joys of soothing harvest-vegetable soups and spicy fricassees while cooking alongside her Cajun mother and grandmothers, and her father's chili—prepared in giant batches with help from all family members—was a thing of beauty. Hulin lives in Atlantic Beach, Florida, where she's acquired a taste for Brunswick Stew and Minorcan Conch Chowder.
