Debra Dean (1957-) was a New York stage actress for ten years before moving back to the Northwest. Dean received her MFA from the University of Oregon. Dean is currently a visiting professor at the University of Miami. Her most recent book, Confessions of a Falling Woman, was a bronze medal winner for the 2008 Florida Book Awards.
