Jessica Burkhart (1987-) graduated from Florida State University where she studied English and humanities. Burkhart has published over 100 articles in magazines such as Girls’ Life, Guideposts, Sweet 16 and The Writer. During the fall of her senior year of college, Burkhart wrote a novel for National Novel Writing Month Contest, a contest that challenged writers to compose a 50,000 word novel in 30 days. Take the Reins was the result of that contest. Take the Reins is the first novel of a four-part series.
