Michael Suib is the former “Dateline: Paradise” columnist for the Miami Herald. He is a poet, author, and former New York City businessman turned Florida columnist who, before moving to Lake County in 2006, lived on a houseboat in Key West, where he sometimes drove a pink taxi to help stay afloat. His latest books are: Confessions of a Key West Cabby and a volume of eclectic poetry about interesting people titled The River of Duval …and Other Technicolor Realities. He co-authored, with his wife Nancy Butler-Ross, Meditation Express: Stress Relief in 60 Seconds Flat (McGraw-Hill, 2001). Michael is a member of the Key West Poetry Guild and the Woodstock Poetry Society and was a featured poet at the Hemingway Days Festival in Key West. His poetry has been published in numerous publications, newspapers and web sites. He is a member of the National Society of Newspaper Columnists. Present projects include a novel, Last Mango in Paradise, and a second compilation of his newspaper columns.
