Rita Ciresi has a M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Penn State University. Ciresi's first collection of short stories, Mother Rocket, won the Flannery O'Connor Award for Short Fiction. Ciresi is professor of English and coordinator of creative writing at the University of South Florida.
