During her first semester at the University of Florida, Judith Ivory was encouraged by her English professor to become a writer. In 1988 she wrote her first novel, Starlit Surrender. The book was picked up nine weeks later. Since then she has written several historical romance novels and been rewarded the Romance Writers of America RITA Award.
